Actually it was even worse earlier that day…many people came out and got in line as early as 4:30 (with the polls opening at 7am) and were still in line by 9am or even 10am…
I was out on-scene shortly before 7am, but then spent 3 hours in line myself…as the day progressed, the lines got shorter actually…my wife voted right after work around 5:30pm, and the whole process only took abotu 15 minutes!
Wow. in Greenville, SC, I only had to wait about 20 minutes, and I got in line at 9:30. There were no segregation of lines by last names, either. My husband voted after work, at 5:30, which supposedly was a “bad” time to vote, but he was in and out in under 5 minutes.
That’s why you get up in the wee-morning and vote. Not wait until 10.
